We’re looking for motivated and EXPERIENCED sales experts that can hit the floor running! This job requires individuals who enjoy working one-on-one with clients and are able to listen to our customer’s needs and comfortably up-sell where appropriate (no pressure sales tactics). Your biggest asset to us will be your negotiating skills. Our product knowledge will come with time but most of our clientele will accept your guidance so understanding a few key products will start you in the right direction. Our customers are generally looking to buy right away so you should be excellent at closing the deal to secure the majority of our walk-ins.
This position is full time including weekend rotation. You may need to schedule appointments after hours or on weekends to meet client needs but assigned store day(s) allow for this. We’re looking for people who understand this is not necessarily a routine 9-5 job but are willing to go the distance and be a team player.
2+ years previous sales experience which require negotiations (not just retail counter sales)
Interest in the construction industry and/or interior design an asset
This position requires the candidate to:
Work full time with weekend rotation
Multi-task and deal with multiple customers at a time
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Manage their sales from start to finish (securing clients; quoting; measuring; ordering; scheduling installations; follow-up on deficiencies)
Up-sell where appropriate without high-pressure sales tactics
Be excellent at the art of closing the deal
Build a rapport with our suppliers and installers to ensure quality service
To be successful in this position, candidates:
Enjoy working with the public, including retail consumers and contractors
Have a positive, friendly attitude
Are a good listener and able to quickly identify the client’s needs
Are a team player but self-driven to succeed
Are well-organized, reliable, determined
Well-presented and businesslike
Understand you may find it necessary to deal with the client during non-store hours to provide onsite measures and any queries that happen during your installations
Must have a valid driver’s license
Benefits are available after 3 months
Pay structure for this position is commission based
